We started our visit to St. Joe's at the lab getting some blood drawn to check Michele's white blood cell count, etc. We had a good time in the lobby waiting for the phlebotomist... I think we were talking about what we were doing five years ago on this day, but we were cracking up. A good way to start a chemo day.
Our next stop was the doctor's office. We will meet with Dr. Chottiner before each chemo treatment to make sure that everything is progressing and that Michele is well enough (sufficient white blood cell count, no fever, etc.) to be treated. When the doctor began to examine Michele's lump she actually asked if she was on the correct side!! She said that the lump had already shrunk significantly and that it was a great sign that the treatment was working and would continue to work well. She said, "It just doesn't get any better than this!". Great news...
Then it was on to the treatment area. With all the bad weather and many cancellations th
As was predicted by the doctors and the former patients that we have talked to, Michele's hair started to make a run for it the last couple days. We have decided to take action tonight... more on that tomorrow... Rock 'n roll.

We are so happy to hear the good news from the doctor. And just think next year on this day you guys can celebrate that Michele has beat cancer along with another wedding anniversary. Mark and I sort of remember this day 5 years ago good times and lots of good beer (and tequila shots)! Happy Anniversary!
Yay for shrinkage, happy anniversary and ROCK AND ROLL!
